God Promises to Give Abraham a Son

Beloved brothers and sisters,

Greetings in the name of Jesus. Everyone has a deep desire in our soul that God should bless like Abraham. But, he didn't acquire too easily. Let me explain how he acquired

Isaac was the only one son, born to Abraham in his very old age and because of that, his family was very much happy. Abraham loved him so much. When Isaac grew and was weaned, Abraham made a great feast that same day. And it came to pass after these things, God told Abraham to offer his only son as a burnt offering

And he said, Take now thy son, thine only son Isaac, whom thou lovest, and get thee into the land of Moriah; and offer him there for a burnt offering upon one of the mountains which I will tell thee of. Genesis: 22 - 2 KJV

Abraham obeyed the voice of the God and rose up early in the morning, and saddled his ass, and took two of his young men with him, and Isaac his son, and clave the wood for the burnt offering, and rose up, and went unto the place of which God had told him. They came to the place which God had told him of; and Abraham built an altar there, and laid the wood in order, and bound Isaac his son, and laid him on the altar upon the wood. Abraham stretched forth his hand and became ready to fulfill the words of God.

But Our God is so kindness and mercy and looked upon Abraham and called Abraham : and he said, Here am I

And he said, Lay not thine hand upon the lad, neither do thou any thing unto him: for now I know that thou fearest God, seeing thou hast not withheld thy son, thine only son from me. Genesis 22:12 KJV

And finally Abraham lifted up his eyes, and looked, and behold behind him a ram caught in a thicket by his horns: and Abraham went and took the ram, and offered him up for a burnt offering in the stead of his son.

Then God told to Abraham and bless

By myself have I sworn, saith the LORD, for because thou hast done this thing, and hast not withheld thy son, thine only son: That in blessing I will bless thee, and in multiplying I will multiply thy seed as the stars of the heaven, and as the sand which is upon the sea shore; and thy seed shall possess the gate of his enemies; And in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed; because thou hast obeyed my voice. Genesis 22: 16-18

How are we living? Just think about ourselves. We didn't do anything for God, even listening his words. We didn't have time to read/listen the words of God, meditate his words nor pray for his presence. But we need the blessings like Abraham.

By dear brothers and sisters, think how Abraham did. He was ready to sacrifice his only son as burnt offering, by obeying the God's words.  God is expecting the same obedience from us also. If you want the same in your life, pray and plead before the Lord today itself. What are you waiting for? Make a covenant with God in Prayer. Read Bible and obey his words daily. Surely, you will see the blessings in your life. Amen
